Historic Manhattan elevator ride at the Freedom Tower
Led the matte painting team recreating lower Manhattan through history for the One World Observatory elevator ride.
For the unveiling of the elevator at the One World Observatory in New York's Freedom Tower, Blur Studio recreated all of lower Manhattan across its full history.
The 45-second ride demanded a complete history of the city, with alternate renders for day, night and the descent. Screens surround the rider, so every render had to sync perfectly. Nic Donel led the matte painting team that delivered it.
